We had been told my father's military records were destroyed in a fire and we couldn't get them. When he passed away, we needed some type of proof so that he could receive military funeral honors (and a military discount).
We didn't have exact dates for anything, just his Military ID#. It was worth paying Touchstone to research his service records and provide us with a certificate of active duty. We saved much more than their fee when we were able to get the military discount on his funeral.
